The Samsung Galaxy M40 has an overall score of 85, which is a little bit better than the Motorola Moto G 5G's overall score of 81.5. These phones work with the same Android 10 OS. Samsung Galaxy M40 is an older phone than the Motorola Moto G 5G, but Samsung could make it thinner and extremely lighter anyway.

The Moto G 5G counts with a processor that's just as good as the Galaxy M40 one, and although the Moto G 5G has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Galaxy M40 features a little more vivid screen than Moto G 5G, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a bit worse 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, it also counts with a just a little better screen pixel density.

The Moto G 5G shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy M40, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture, the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Moto G 5G also has a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels. The Galaxy M40 counts with a slightly bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Moto G 5G, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that holds 488 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.

Motorola Moto G 5G features a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy M40, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
