Comparison review
The Galaxy M40 is just a bit better than the Xperia Z5 Premium, having a global score of 85 against 79.8. Galaxy M40's body has the same thickness than Xperia Z5 Premium, but it's a little bit lighter. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy M40 has newer 10 version and Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1 version.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit better CPU than Galaxy M40, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. The Xperia Z5 Premium features a much more vibrant display than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher pixel amount per display inch and a way better resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.
Galaxy M40 features a superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 512 GB. Xperia Z5 Premium's battery performance is just as good as the Galaxy M40 one, although the Xperia Z5 Premium has just 3430mAh battery size instead of 3500mAh.
Galaxy M40 captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor taking lower quality videos and pictures, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Galaxy M40 also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better photography in low light environments and a lot higher resolution back-facing camera.
