Comparison review
The Galaxy M51 is much better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, getting a overall score of 87.7 against 78.7. These phones include Android OS, but the Galaxy M51 has 10 version and Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo. Even though Galaxy M51 is noticeably newer than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, it's thicker and much heavier.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy M51. They have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy M51, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px.
The Galaxy M51 has a very superior camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Galaxy M51 also has a much bigger camera sensor, a larger aperture to take better low light captures and video and a camera in the back with a much better resolution.
Galaxy M51 has a very superior memory to store more games and applications than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy M51 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy M51 counts with a way better battery performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
