Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III has a score of 93.3, which is a bit better than Galaxy Note 20's 90.8 score. The Xperia 1 III construction is newer, just a bit lighter and just a bit thinner than the Galaxy Note 20. Sony Xperia 1 III features a better display than Galaxy Note 20, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher 1644 x 3840 resolution and a lot better screen pixels density.
The Galaxy Note 20 and the Xperia 1 III have quite similar processors, and although the Xperia 1 III has 4 GB more RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores. The Sony Xperia 1 III shoots clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and although they both have a 12 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and the same (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a larger back-facing camera sensor, a larger aperture for better low light photos and higher 120 fps video frame rates.
Xperia 1 III features a lot bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 20, because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory capacity. Xperia 1 III has a bit better battery life than Galaxy Note 20, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4300mAh.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs more than Galaxy Note 20, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Note 20. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia 1 III, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Note 20, giving up a couple features and specs.
