Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with Android 5.0 operating system, while iPhone 6 has iOS 8.x operating system.

IPhone 6 has a CPU that is very similar to the Galaxy Note 3 one, because although the iPhone 6 has a smaller amount of RAM and a lower number of cores, and they both have a 450 MHz graphics co-processor, it also counts with a 64-bit CPU. Apple iPhone 6 features a display that's just as good as the screen in Galaxy Note 3, although the Apple iPhone 6 has a little bit smaller display, a just a bit lower pixels density and a lot worse 1334 x 750 pixels resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 takes a bit better photographs and videos than iPhone 6, because although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor, and they both have a F2.2 aperture, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also counts with a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back and a lot higher (4K) video definition.

IPhone 6 has a little bit more storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 counts with a very superior battery lifetime than iPhone 6, because it has a 3200mAh battery size against 1810mAh.

Although Galaxy Note 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than iPhone 6, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the iPhone 6. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Note 3, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the iPhone 6, giving up some specs and features.
