Both phones in this comparison work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Note 3 has 5.0 version while Galaxy S4 has Android 4.4 version, so it offers some extra features and a performance increase. Although it's the best phone in this review, the Galaxy Note 3 is an a lot heavier and just a little thicker phone than Galaxy S4.

The Galaxy Note 3 has a bit better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S4, and although they both have 4 processing cores, the Galaxy Note 3 also has a much better GPU working at 450 MHz and a greater amount of RAM. Samsung Galaxy S4 features just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S4 also counts with a quite better pixels count per inch of screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4 feature very similar memory capacity to install games and applications, both of them have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB. The Galaxy Note 3 features better battery duration than Galaxy S4, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity.

The Galaxy Note 3 shoots clearer photos and videos than Galaxy S4, and although they both have a F2.2 diafragm aperture, the same sensor size and a camera with a 13 megapixels, the Galaxy Note 3 also has a way higher 3840x2160 video quality.

Although Galaxy Note 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy S4. If you want to save some money, you can get the Samsung Galaxy S4, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
