Comparison review

The Xperia 5 II has an overall score of 87.2, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Note 3's score of 81.2. Xperia 5 II's body is a lot newer, just a little bit thinner and a little bit lighter than Galaxy Note 3. Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with more cpu cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has just a bit better display than Xperia 5 II, although it has a bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution, a little less pixels per inch in the display and a little bit smaller display. Sony Xperia 5 II counts with a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because it has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB and 128 GB internal memory capacity.

Xperia 5 II counts with longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. The Xperia 5 II takes much better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a lower (4K) video resolution and a camera with less megapixels resolution, it also counts with a way larger aperture to take better photography and videos in poorly lited situations and a much bigger sensor which gives a lot better image and video quality.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Note 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note 3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Xperia 5 II, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Note 3, letting go a couple specifications.
