Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a little bit better than Xperia Z3, with a score of 81.2 against 77.3. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is an older cellphone than Xperia Z3, but Samsung managed to build it just a bit thinner and a little bit lighter. These devices come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has newer 5.0 version and Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4 version, providing you a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance.

The Sony Xperia Z3 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Sony Xperia Z3 also counts with a quite higher pixel quantity per screen inch. Sony Xperia Z3 features a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Note 3. They have the same number of cores, a 450 MHz graphics processing unit and 3 GB of RAM.

Galaxy Note 3 has a bigger memory to install games and applications than Xperia Z3, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with more internal storage. The Xperia Z3 takes clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Note 3, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same video quality, the Xperia Z3 also has a much larger camera sensor, a back facing camera with a way better resolution and a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better images and videos in poorly lited environments.

The Sony Xperia Z3 counts with a battery lifetime that's very similar to Galaxy Note 3's battery life.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xperia Z3. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xperia Z3, giving up a couple features and specs.
