Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a global score of 81.2, which is slightly better than Huawei P40 Lite's global score of 79.5. Both phones we are comparing here include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has an older 5.0 version while Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10. Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a lot older than the Huawei P40 Lite, it's body is a bit thinner and a little bit lighter.
The Galaxy Note 3 has a little more vivid display than Huawei P40 Lite, although it has a little smaller display, a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a just a bit worse screen pixels density. Huawei P40 Lite counts with slightly more storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Huawei P40 Lite has a processing unit that's just as good as the processor in Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because although the Huawei P40 Lite has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and 4 more CPU cores. Huawei P40 Lite shoots better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video definition, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a much higher 48 megapixels resolution back facing camera, a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing way higher quality videos and pictures and a larger aperture.
The Galaxy Note 3 costs a bit more money than Huawei P40 Lite, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
