Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is a bit better than Galaxy Note 4's 81.6 overall score. These devices have Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Note8 has 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Note 4 has Android 5.0 version, so it provides lots of additional features. Samsung Galaxy Note8's design is notably newer than Galaxy Note 4's, but it is just a little thicker and just a bit heavier.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a much better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note 4, because it has 64 GB internal storage and a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB. The Galaxy Note8 counts with just a little better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 4, because it has a 3300mAh battery capacity against 3220mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note 4. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note8, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Note 4, resigning some specs and features.
