Comparison review

Galaxy Note 5 has an overall score of 79.3, which is a little bit better than the Google Pixel 3a's 78.8 global score. These devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note 5 has older 5.1 version while Google Pixel 3a has Android 11. The Galaxy Note 5 design is a little thinner than the Google Pixel 3a, although it's heavier and was released 4 years before.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a better looking screen than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a better 2560 x 1440 resolution, a little bit bigger display and a just a bit higher amount of pixels in each inch of screen. Google Pixel 3a's storage for games and applications is just as good as the Galaxy Note 5 one, both of them have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory.

The Google Pixel 3a features a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Google Pixel 3a also has 7 more cores (although they are slower). The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a slightly better camera than Google Pixel 3a, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures in low light situations and a smaller back-facing camera sensor shooting worse quality videos and photos, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a back camera with much more MP.

The Google Pixel 3a counts with a battery performance that is very similar to the Galaxy Note 5 one.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Pixel 3a, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 3a. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, otherwise you can save some money and get the Google Pixel 3a, giving up some features and specs.
