Comparison review
The Galaxy Note 5 is a bit better than the Google Pixel 3a XL, with a global score of 79.3 against 78.9. Although the Galaxy Note 5 is incredibly older and a little heavier than Google Pixel 3a XL, it's design is still a bit thinner. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note 5 has 5.1 version while Google Pixel 3a XL has Android 11.
The Galaxy Note 5 features a much better screen than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher pixel density and a better 2560 x 1440 resolution. The Google Pixel 3a XL has just a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Google Pixel 3a XL also has more processing cores (although they are slower).
Google Pixel 3a XL has as much memory capacity to install applications and games as Galaxy Note 5, both of them have exactly the same internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 takes slightly better videos and photos than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a smaller aperture and a tinier sensor, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a way higher 16 MP resolution back camera.
Google Pixel 3a XL counts with better battery lifetime than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 23% larger battery size.
Although Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 3a XL. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Google Pixel 3a XL, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
