Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has an overall score of 79.3, which is a bit better than the Galaxy J8's score of 76.7. Even though Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is much older than Galaxy J8, it's design is a little thinner and a bit lighter. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has the older 5.1 version while Galaxy J8 has Android 10.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with a way better screen than Galaxy J8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater number of pixels per inch in the display and a way higher resolution of 2560 x 1440px. The Samsung Galaxy J8 counts with a bit better CPU than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has a larger number of cores (although slower).

The Galaxy Note 5 has a slightly better camera than Galaxy J8, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting images or videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have a camera in the back with a 16 mega pixels, the Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor taking higher quality videos and photos and a way better (4K) video resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 counts with a much bigger memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy J8 also has a SD memory slot that allows up to 256 GB. The Galaxy J8 features just a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity.
