Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a general score of 79.3, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus's score of 78.1. Both of these devices include Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has the newer 5.1 version while Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2 version, providing you some additional features. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a newer and just a little bit thinner phone than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, but it is heavier.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a greater performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and also faster) and an additional graphics processing unit. Galaxy Note 5 features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a bit bigger display, a little bit better display density and a higher 2560 x 1440 resolution.

The Galaxy Note 5 has a greater storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has just a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 7% larger battery capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 captures clearer videos and photos than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have a 16 MP resolution camera in the back, a same size sensor, the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also has a bigger aperture to capture better photography and videos in low light environments.

Although Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Note 5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up some specs and features.
