The Xperia 1 V has a general score of 82.7, which is slightly better than Galaxy Note 5's 79.3 score. Xperia 1 V's construction is extremely newer than Galaxy Note 5's, but it is a little bit heavier and a little thicker. Both phones in this review come with Android operating system, but Xperia 1 V has the newer 13 version and Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1 version, offering some extra features and increased performance.
The Galaxy Note 5 has a bit sharper screen than Xperia 1 V, although it has a bit inferior pixels number in each inch of screen, a little smaller screen and a much lower resolution of 2560 x 1440. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a very superior processing unit than Xperia 1 V, although it has 8 GB lesser RAM and lesser cpu cores (although they are faster).
The Xperia 1 V shoots greater pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same video definition and the same aperture, the Xperia 1 V also has a much larger camera sensor taking way better quality videos and photos, a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and higher 120 frames per second video frame rates.
The Xperia 1 V counts with a lot bigger memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity. Sony Xperia 1 V features a much longer battery duration than Galaxy Note 5, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
