The Xperia 5 III is better than Galaxy Note 5, getting a 90.5 score against 79.3. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia 5 III has 11 version and Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1, so it provides the user a couple nice extra features and performance improvements. Xperia 5 III's construction is much newer and a bit lighter than the Galaxy Note 5's, although it's also a little thicker.

The Sony Xperia 5 III counts with a better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has more RAM and more CPU cores. The Galaxy Note 5 counts with a sharper display than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and a just a little better pixel number in each inch of display.

The Xperia 5 III takes slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a camera with way less megapixels and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a bigger aperture to take better low light images and videos and a lot larger camera sensor which gives a lot better photo and video quality.

The Xperia 5 III counts with a way bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 1 TB and 192 GB more internal storage capacity. Xperia 5 III features a much better battery performance than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 50% bigger battery capacity.
