The Galaxy Note 5 is slightly better than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, having a overall score of 79.3 against 78.6. Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note 5 has the older 5.1 version and Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Even though the Galaxy Note 5 is way older than the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, it's design is extremely thinner and lighter.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a much better screen than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a greater pixels density and a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a larger number of faster cores and a greater amount of RAM memory.

Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has just a bit better camera than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for low light photography and video, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor shooting better quality videos and photographs and a camera in the back with a lot higher 23 mega pixels resolution.

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 400 GB. Xperia XA2 Plus has better battery life than Galaxy Note 5, because it has 3580mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
