Comparison review
The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a global score of 79.6, which is a bit better than Galaxy Note 5's 79.3 general score. Xiaomi 12 Pro's construction is notably newer than Galaxy Note 5's, but it's somewhat heavier and just a bit thicker. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi 12 Pro has newer 12 version while Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Xiaomi 12 Pro have quite similar screens, although the Xiaomi 12 Pro also has a bigger screen, a little better amount of pixels per inch in the screen and a bit higher resolution of 1440 x 3200. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a much better performing CPU than Xiaomi 12 Pro, although it has lesser cores (although they are faster) and 4 GB lesser RAM memory.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro features a very superior memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has 128 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi 12 Pro shoots much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the Xiaomi 12 Pro also has a much higher 50 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, a much better video quality and a way bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Xiaomi 12 Pro has a much longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 4600mAh battery size instead of 3000mAh.
