Comparison review
The Galaxy Note 5 has a general score of 79.3, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2's 77.5 global score. The Galaxy Note 5 body has the same thickness than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but it's somewhat lighter. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a way better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better 2560 x 1440px resolution and more pixels per screen inch.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a very superior memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has an external SD slot that allows up to 128 GB and more internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a little faster processing unit than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM memory, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has 7 more cpu cores.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also has a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a back-facing camera with much more megapixels and a larger aperture for better low-light photography and video.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a superior battery performance than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 5300mAh battery size.
Although Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
