Comparison review
Galaxy Note 5 has an overall score of 79.3, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's 79 global score. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Note 5 has the previous 5.1 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11 version. The Galaxy Note 5 is an notably older device than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, but it is lighter and somewhat thinner anyway.
Galaxy Note 5 features a better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher 2560 x 1440 resolution and a higher amount of pixels per display inch. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features much more memory capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a SD memory slot that admits up to 512 GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a bit better performance than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has more CPU cores. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S takes much better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a much bigger back camera sensor which gives a lot higher image and video quality, a camera with a much higher resolution and a bigger aperture to capture better photos and videos in poorly lited environments.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a very superior battery duration than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 67 percent larger battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, resigning some features and specs.
