Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a score of 80.4, which is slightly better than the Google Pixel 3a's 78.8 global score. The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition design is a little thinner than the Google Pixel 3a, although it is heavier and was released only 22 months before. Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a slightly better looking display than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560, a just a little greater pixels count per display inch and a little bigger screen.
The Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a bit faster processor than Google Pixel 3a. Both of them have a Octa-Core CPU and a 4 GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition counts with a superior storage to store more apps and games than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition also has a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB.
Galaxy Note Fan Edition features a bit longer battery lifetime than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a 3200mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. Google Pixel 3a has a slightly better camera than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for taking photos and video in low-light situations and a tinier sensor taking lower quality videos and photographs, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Google Pixel 3a also counts with a back camera with more mega-pixels.
Although Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 3a, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 3a. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Google Pixel 3a, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
