The Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a general score of 80.4, which is a bit better than Galaxy Note 5's 79.3 overall score. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition construction is newer and just a little lighter than Galaxy Note 5's, although it is a little bit thicker. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition. Both of them have exactly the same resolution of 2560 x 1440px, the same pixels density and a same size display.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition also has 7 more processing cores. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition features a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 256 GB.
The Galaxy Note Fan Edition has just a little better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 3200mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh. The Galaxy Note 5 captures clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because although it has a tinier sensor taking lower quality photos and a smaller aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a lot better 16 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Note 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Note 5. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Note 5, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
