Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a score of 80.4, which is a bit better than the Galaxy S5 Plus's score of 78.1. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a a lot newer and a bit thinner phone than Galaxy S5 Plus, although it is also heavier. Galaxy S5 Plus counts with a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, although it has a little bit worse pixel count per display inch, a way lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a bit smaller display.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus features a bit faster CPU than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because although it has 4 lesser cpu cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics processor. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition counts with a much better storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 48 GB more internal memory and a SD card slot that allows up to 256 GB.
The Galaxy S5 Plus captures just a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor which gives a lower image and video quality and a way tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for taking photos or videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Galaxy S5 Plus also counts with a lot higher resolution camera in the back.
Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 3200mAh battery size.
Although Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
