The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a camera that's very similar to Galaxy Note Fan Edition's camera, and although the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a tinier sensor taking lower quality videos and photos and a lot smaller aperture which is worse for taking photographs or videos in low-light environments, they both have the same video frame rates, the same resolution back camera and the same (4K) video definition.

Although Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Note Fan Edition, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, giving up some features and specifications.
