The Galaxy A40 is just a bit better than Galaxy Note3, getting a 79.6 score against 77.7. Both devices we compare here work with Android operating system, but Galaxy A40 has older 11 version while Galaxy Note3 has Android 4.4.2. The Galaxy A40 design is extremely newer, somewhat lighter and a little bit thinner than Galaxy Note3.
Galaxy Note3 has a bit better processing power than Galaxy A40, although it has less RAM and an inferior number of cores (although faster). The Galaxy A40 features just a bit better display than Galaxy Note3, because it has a just a little better pixel density, a quite bigger display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2340.
The Galaxy A40 has a much greater memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Note3, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Galaxy A40 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy Note3 counts with a bit longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 3200mAh battery capacity instead of 3100mAh.
Galaxy Note3 counts with just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a lot tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures, a camera in the back with a worse 13 mega pixels resolution and a smaller camera sensor capturing worse quality pictures and videos, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
