Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has an overall score of 79.3, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Note3's 77.7 overall score. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has newer 5.1 version and Galaxy Note3 has Android 4.4.2 version. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 construction is newer and a little thinner than the Galaxy Note3's, although it's also a bit heavier.

Galaxy Note3 has a little faster processor than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and they are faster). Galaxy Note 5 features a sharper display than Galaxy Note3, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Galaxy Note 5 also has a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a higher pixels count in each inch in the display.

The Samsung Galaxy Note3 has a much better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Note3 also has an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB. The Galaxy Note3 has just a little better battery lifetime than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 3200mAh battery size against 3000mAh.

The Galaxy Note 5 features just a bit better camera than Galaxy Note3, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Note 5 also has a bigger sensor providing a better image quality, a camera with more megapixels and a larger aperture.
