Galaxy Note8 has a global score of 83, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Note3's overall score of 77.7. Although Galaxy Note8 is much newer than Galaxy Note3, it's heavier and just a little thicker. Both phones in our current comparison come with Android OS, but the Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Note3 has Android 4.4.2.

The Galaxy Note8 has a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Note3, because it has a quite larger screen, a much higher resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a greater count of pixels per inch in the screen. The Galaxy Note8 features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Note3, because it has more RAM and a higher number of cores.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note3, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has an external memory card slot that supports up to 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 features just a little bit longer battery performance than Galaxy Note3, because it has a 3% larger battery capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note3, because although it has a back facing camera with a worse 12 mega-pixels resolution and a worse video resolution, it also counts with a way bigger camera aperture for better low-light photos and a bigger sensor.
