Comparison review

Xperia Z5 Premium has a general score of 79.8, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Note3's 77.7 global score. Xperia Z5 Premium's design is newer and a little bit thinner than Galaxy Note3's, but it is also a little bit heavier. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but Xperia Z5 Premium has 5.1 version while Galaxy Note3 has Android 4.4.2 version, so it provides some additional features and performance tweaks.

The Xperia Z5 Premium has a bit better processing power than Galaxy Note3, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has an additional graphics processor and a higher number of cores (although slower). The Xperia Z5 Premium has a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Note3, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much greater pixel quantity per inch of screen and a lot better resolution of 3840 x 2160px.

Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much better camera than Galaxy Note3, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a camera in the back with a way better resolution, a bigger aperture to take better photography in low-light situations and a lot bigger sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy Note3 features a better storage capacity for apps and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has a SD extension slot that allows up to 64 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with just a bit longer battery life than Galaxy Note3, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity.
