The Galaxy Note5 is an a lot older and just a little heavier cellphone than the Google Pixel 3a XL, but Samsung managed to make it just a bit thinner anyway. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 features a little sharper screen than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a better pixel density. The Galaxy Note5 has just a bit better camera than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a smaller sensor and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for capturing photos and videos in low light environments, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy Note5 also counts with a way more megapixels back-facing camera.
The Google Pixel 3a XL's memory for apps and games is just as good as the Galaxy Note5 one, both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity. Google Pixel 3a XL has improved battery performance than Galaxy Note5, because it has a 3700mAh battery size against 3000mAh.
