Comparison review
Galaxy S8 Active is a little bit better than the Galaxy Note5, having an 81.9 score against 80.2. Although the Galaxy S8 Active is newer than the Galaxy Note5, it's heavier and noticeably thicker. Galaxy S8 Active has a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Note5. Both of them have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM memory.
The Galaxy S8 Active features just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Note5, because it has a bit higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, a quite larger display and a little more pixels per display inch. Samsung Galaxy Note5 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor capturing lower quality photos and videos and a tinier camera aperture which is not good for capturing photographs and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Note5 also counts with a lot more megapixels back-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a much better storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note5, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Note5, because it has a 33% larger battery capacity.
