Xiaomi Mi 8 has a general score of 83.3, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Note5's 80.2 general score. Xiaomi Mi 8's design has the same thickness than the Galaxy Note5, but it's just a bit heavier. Xiaomi Mi 8 features a screen that's very similar to the Galaxy Note5 one, because although the Xiaomi Mi 8 has a bit worse 1080 x 2248 resolution and a quite lower pixels density, it also counts with a quite larger display.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has just a little better performance than Galaxy Note5, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has 2 GB more RAM. The Xiaomi Mi 8 has much more memory for apps and games than Galaxy Note5, because it has more internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy Note5 captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a tinier sensor which offers a worse image and video quality and a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Note5 also counts with a lot more megapixels back camera.
Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a little longer battery performance than Galaxy Note5, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
