The iPhone 11 Pro Max is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note8, with an 85.3 score against 83. The iPhone 11 Pro Max comes with iOS 15.x operating system, while Samsung Galaxy Note8 comes with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. IPhone 11 Pro Max's body is newer and just a little bit thinner, but also heavier than Samsung Galaxy Note8.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a better performing CPU than Galaxy Note8, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a 64-bit processing unit. The iPhone 11 Pro Max features a slightly better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1242 x 2688 pixels and a little lower display pixels density, it also counts with a quite bigger screen.
IPhone 11 Pro Max shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low-light images and video, and they both have a back camera with a 12 megapixels resolution, a same size camera sensor and the same video quality, the iPhone 11 Pro Max also counts with better 60 fps video frame rates.
Galaxy Note8 features a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than iPhone 11 Pro Max, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Note8 also has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 256 GB. Although Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Note8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Note8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Note8, letting go a couple features and specifications.
