The iPhone 11 Pro Max is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note8, with an 85.3 score against 83. The iPhone 11 Pro Max comes with iOS 15.x operating system, while Samsung Galaxy Note8 comes with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. IPhone 11 Pro Max's body is newer and just a little bit thinner, but also heavier than Samsung Galaxy Note8.

Although Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Note8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Note8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Note8, letting go a couple features and specifications.
