Apple iPhone 6s Plus has an overall score of 84.2, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Note8's overall score of 83. Apple iPhone 6s Plus's body is thinner and just a little lighter than Galaxy Note8, despite of the fact that it was released 2 years before. The Apple iPhone 6s Plus has iOS 9.x operating system, and Galaxy Note8 counts with Android 9.0 Pie operating system.
The iPhone 6s Plus counts with a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a lower number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and an extra graphics co-processor. The iPhone 6s Plus has a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Note8, although it has a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a little smaller display and a little worse pixel density.
Samsung Galaxy Note8 features just a bit bigger storage to install applications and games than iPhone 6s Plus, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory slot that allows up to 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has greater battery performance than Apple iPhone 6s Plus, because it has a 3300mAh battery size.
The Galaxy Note8 captures slightly better pictures and videos than Apple iPhone 6s Plus, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a 12 megapixels resolution camera, the Galaxy Note8 also has a lot bigger aperture and a bigger sensor providing a higher image quality.
Although iPhone 6s Plus is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Note8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note8. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy Note8, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
