Comparison review
Galaxy Note8 is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 2 XL, with a score of 83 against 82.5. Even though Galaxy Note8 is a better device than the Google Pixel 2 XL, we must note that it's also somewhat heavier and just a bit thicker. Google Pixel 2 XL features a display that is very similar to Galaxy Note8's screen, because although the Google Pixel 2 XL has a little bit worse resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels and a little smaller display, it also counts with a quite greater pixels number in each screen inch.
Galaxy Note8 has slightly more storage capacity for applications and games than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that supports up to 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a bit better processing power than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Google Pixel 2 XL's camera is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Note8 one, because although the Google Pixel 2 XL has a smaller aperture and a smaller camera sensor capturing worse quality images and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, it also counts with a back camera with more MP.
The Google Pixel 2 XL features a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 7 percent greater battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 2 XL. If you want to save some money, you can get Google Pixel 2 XL, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
