Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a general score of 83, which is just a bit better than Google Pixel 3 XL's 80.7 general score. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 construction is older, just a little thicker and a little heavier than the Google Pixel 3 XL. Google Pixel 3 XL counts with a display that's just as good as Galaxy Note8's screen, both of them have a better pixels quantity per screen inch, a same size screen and the same resolution of 1440 x 2960px.
The Google Pixel 3 XL and Galaxy Note8 have extremely similar CPUs, and although the Google Pixel 3 XL has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Google Pixel 3 XL features a camera that is very similar to the camera in Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although the Google Pixel 3 XL has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low-light captures, and they both have the same sensor size, the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, it also counts with a better 12.2 mega-pixels resolution camera.
The Galaxy Note8 features a superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Pixel 3 XL, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Note8 also has a SD extension slot that admits up to 256 GB. The Google Pixel 3 XL features just a little better battery duration than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 4% bigger battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Pixel 3 XL, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Pixel 3 XL. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Google Pixel 3 XL, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
