Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Note8 is just a bit better than Google Pixel 4a, getting a general score of 83 against 82.9. Both devices we compare here include Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Google Pixel 4a has Android 11. Although it's the best we compare here, Samsung Galaxy Note8's construction is much older, a little bit thicker and way heavier than the Google Pixel 4a.

The Galaxy Note8 features just a bit better display than Google Pixel 4a, because it has a little bigger display, a bit better quantity of pixels in each display inch and a higher 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution. The Galaxy Note8 has a slightly bigger storage for games and applications than Google Pixel 4a, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 256 GB.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a little better hardware performance than Google Pixel 4a. Both have the same number of cores and a 6 GB RAM. Google Pixel 4a has a camera that is just as good as Galaxy Note8's camera, and although the Google Pixel 4a has a back facing camera with a higher 12.2 megapixels resolution, they both have a F1.7 diafragm aperture, the same video quality, the same camera sensor size and the same video frame rates.

Galaxy Note8 features a bit better battery life than Google Pixel 4a, because it has a 5 percent greater battery size.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs more money than the Google Pixel 4a, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 4a. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Google Pixel 4a, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
