Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a global score of 83, which is a little bit better than the Honor 50 Pro's global score of 77. Both devices we compare here come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Honor 50 Pro has Android 11 version, so it provides some nice extra features. Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a way older, just a little thicker and a bit heavier phone than Honor 50 Pro.

Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit sharper display than Honor 50 Pro, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater display density and a slightly higher 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution. The Honor 50 Pro has a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.

The Honor 50 Pro features a little bit better processing power than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have 8 cores, the Honor 50 Pro also has more RAM memory. Honor 50 Pro takes much better photos and videos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Honor 50 Pro also counts with a back-facing camera with way more mega-pixels.

The Honor 50 Pro has improved battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
