Galaxy Note8 is a bit better than Huawei Mate 8, having a global score of 83 against 77.4. Even though Galaxy Note8 is newer than Huawei Mate 8, it is a little thicker and just a bit heavier. Galaxy Note8 counts with a better display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a better pixel density, a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a little larger screen.
Huawei Mate 8 features more memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that admits 128 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Huawei Mate 8 features improved battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 21 percent greater battery size. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 takes clearer photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a lot worse 12 mega pixels resolution back camera, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to capture better low light photography and videos and a way better (4K) video quality.
Even being the best phone of the ones we are comparing here, the Galaxy Note8 is also very cheap compared to the other ones, which makes it an easy decision.
