The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a CPU that's very similar to the Galaxy Note8 one, both of them have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processing unit. The Galaxy Note8 and the Huawei Mate 9 Pro have incredibly similar screens, because although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little bit smaller display and a little lower 1440 x 2560 resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of screen.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 shoots clearer pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the same video frame rate and a 12 mega-pixels back facing camera, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a much larger diafragm aperture and a larger back-facing camera sensor which provides a better image and video quality.
