Galaxy Note8 is just a bit better than Huawei P20 Pro, having a general score of 83 against 81.4. Galaxy Note8 is an a little bit heavier and just a little thicker phone than the Huawei P20 Pro. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei P20 Pro has Android 10 version, so it provides you some extra features.

Huawei P20 Pro features a processor that's very similar to the processor in Galaxy Note8, they have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a slightly better display than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a higher screen density, a better 1440 x 2960px resolution and a little larger display.

Huawei P20 Pro shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a lot larger back-facing camera sensor and a way better 40 mega-pixels resolution camera.

Galaxy Note8 features a little bit more storage to store more apps and games than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB. Huawei P20 Pro has longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 21% greater battery size.

Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs more money than Huawei P20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei P20 Pro. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Huawei P20 Pro, letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
