Comparison review

The Galaxy Note8 has a global score of 83, which is a little bit better than the Huawei P40 Lite's 79.5 overall score. Both devices in this comparison come with Android OS, but the Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10 version. The Galaxy Note8 is a a little heavier device than Huawei P40 Lite, but they are equally thin.

Galaxy Note8 has a little sharper screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and a better count of pixels per inch of display. Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit better CPU than Huawei P40 Lite. They have a 6 GB RAM and a Octa-Core processor.

The Galaxy Note8 counts with a slightly better storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. The Huawei P40 Lite has longer battery duration than Galaxy Note8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.

The Huawei P40 Lite features a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low-light captures, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a lot bigger sensor which provides a much higher photo and video quality and a much higher 48 MP resolution back-facing camera.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P40 Lite. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
