Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a general score of 85.3, which is slightly better than Galaxy Note8's 83 general score. These phones have Android operating system, but Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has the previous 11 version and Galaxy Note8 has Android 9.0 Pie version. Microsoft Surface Duo 2's design is newer and much thinner than the Galaxy Note8's, although it is also a lot heavier.

The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 features a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a just a little inferior amount of pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a way larger screen and a bit higher resolution of 1892 x 2688. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a little faster processor than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 also has 2 GB more RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 features slightly more storage to store more apps and games than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows up to 256 GB. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has superior battery life than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 35 percent more battery size.

Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a little bit better camera than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same aperture, the same resolution camera in the back and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 also has higher 60 fps video frame rate.

Although Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is a better device, it costs more than the Galaxy Note8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Note8. If you prefer to save some money, you can get the Galaxy Note8, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
