Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is just a bit better than the Motorola Edge 40's global score of 77.2. Both of these devices use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has 9.0 Pie version and Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13, giving a couple nice extra features. Despite being the best cellphone we are comparing here, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 body is noticeably older, heavier and thicker than Motorola Edge 40.

Motorola Edge 40 has a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a way lower 1080 x 2400 resolution and a just a little less pixels per display inch, it also counts with a little larger display. Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a slightly better storage capacity for applications and games than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a much more powerful processing unit than Motorola Edge 40, although it has less RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Motorola Edge 40 features a much better camera than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a way more MP back camera, a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting lot higher quality pictures and a bigger camera aperture to take better photography in poorly lited environments.

Motorola Edge 40 features greater battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 33 percent larger battery capacity.
