Both devices in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Moto G8 Power has Android 10.

The Galaxy Note8 counts with a slightly better looking display than Moto G8 Power, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960. The Moto G8 Power features a bit more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Moto G8 Power also has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB.

Motorola Moto G8 Power has a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.

Moto G8 Power captures slightly better photos and videos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier sensor, and they both have the same video definition, a same size aperture and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Moto G8 Power also counts with a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution.

Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G8 Power, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G8 Power. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Note8, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Moto G8 Power, giving up a couple features and specs.
