The Motorola razr (2020) has a global score of 87, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Note8's 83 global score. Motorola razr (2020)'s body is much newer, just a bit thinner and a bit lighter than Galaxy Note8. Both devices in this review include Android operating system, but the Motorola razr (2020) has 11 version and Galaxy Note8 has Android 9.0 Pie.
The Motorola razr (2020) has a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Motorola razr (2020) also has 2 GB more RAM. The Galaxy Note8 has a brighter display than Motorola razr (2020), because it has a higher screen density, a quite larger screen and a much higher 1440 x 2960px resolution.
Motorola razr (2020) has a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. Motorola razr (2020) counts with a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, a F1.7 camera aperture and the same (4K) video resolution, the Motorola razr (2020) also has a way larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a way better image and video quality and a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
The Galaxy Note8 features better battery life than Motorola razr (2020), because it has a 3300mAh battery size against 2800mAh.
Although Motorola razr (2020) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Note8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Note8. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note8, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
