The Samsung Galaxy A42 is slightly better than the Galaxy Note8, getting an 87 score against 83. Both phones in this comparison work with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has older 11 version and Galaxy Note8 has Android 9.0 Pie. The Samsung Galaxy A42 is a just a little lighter phone than Galaxy Note8, but they are equally thin.

Galaxy Note8 has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note8 also has a greater amount of RAM.
