Comparison review

The Galaxy Note8 is a little bit better than Galaxy Note 4, with an 83 score against 81.6. Although Galaxy Note8 is noticeably newer than Galaxy Note 4, it's a little bit thicker and just a bit heavier. Both of these devices include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Note 4 has Android 5.0 version.

The Galaxy Note 4 features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has lesser RAM memory and a lower number of cores (although faster), it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. Galaxy Note 4 has a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Note8, although it has a bit lower 2560 x 1440 resolution, a bit smaller screen and a little less pixels per inch of display.

The Galaxy Note8 counts with a much greater memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 4, because it has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB and 32 GB more internal storage. Galaxy Note8 has a little longer battery duration than Galaxy Note 4, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity.

The Galaxy Note 4 counts with just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor taking worse quality videos and photos and a much smaller aperture, and they both have the same video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Galaxy Note 4 also counts with a camera with way more mega-pixels.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Note 4. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note8, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Note 4, letting go a couple specifications.
