Comparison review

The Galaxy Note8 has a general score of 83, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Note 5's global score of 79.3. Although the Galaxy Note8 is a lot newer than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, it's thicker and somewhat heavier. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Note8 has 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1 version.

Galaxy Note8 has a more powerful CPU than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has more RAM and more cpu cores. The Galaxy Note 5 counts with a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Note8, although it has a little bit smaller screen, a just a bit inferior pixel number per inch in the display and a little lower 2560 x 1440 resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a much better memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a SD extension slot that supports up to 256 GB. Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 3300mAh battery size.

Galaxy Note 5 features a slightly better camera than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for capturing photos in poorly lited environments and a tinier sensor taking less light and duller colors, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a back facing camera with way more mega pixels.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 costs a bit more money than the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
