Samsung Galaxy Note8 is slightly better than Galaxy Note3, with a score of 83 against 77.7. Samsung Galaxy Note8's construction is newer than Galaxy Note3's, but it's somewhat heavier and just a bit thicker. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Note3 has Android 4.4.2.
Galaxy Note8 has just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Note3, because it has a larger amount of RAM and a larger number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a sharper display than Galaxy Note3, because it has a much better 1440 x 2960px resolution, a little bigger display and a higher pixels density.
The Galaxy Note8 shoots a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Note3, because although it has a camera with a worse resolution and a lower (4K) video quality, it also counts with a lot larger diafragm aperture and a larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
