The Samsung Galaxy Note8 is just a bit better than the Galaxy Note4, with a global score of 83 against 77.6. Although the Samsung Galaxy Note8 is much newer than the Galaxy Note4, it's just a little heavier and just a little bit thicker. The Galaxy Note8 has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy Note4, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy Note8 also has a higher amount of RAM.

The Galaxy Note8 has a slightly better screen than Galaxy Note4, because it has a bit larger screen, a just a bit higher pixel density and a little higher 1440 x 2960 resolution. The Galaxy Note4 features just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a way smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light photos and videos and a tinier back-facing camera sensor, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Galaxy Note4 also counts with a camera with lot more mega-pixels.

Galaxy Note8 features a very superior memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note4, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 256 GB and 32 GB more internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy Note8 features just a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Note4, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity against 3220mAh.
